The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office was founded on June 12, 1754, and we continue our commitment to excellence today.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is headquartered at 1345 Falling Creek Road in Bedford. Our facility is located exactly in the geographic center of the county, which is the fifth largest county in Virginia by land area. This location enables us to make faster responses and provide broader coverage.

Our headquarters houses the command-and-control center for the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office. We share our facility with the Bedford Communications Center, a state-of-the-art E-911 dispatch center. It provides emergency communication services for the Sheriff’s Office, Fire & Rescue department, and the Town of Bedford Police Department.
